Reiter leads Trojans with tie for 19th, Tanabe cards second 68 of tournament.
Junior Issei Tanabe fired his fourth 68 in six rounds this season while sophomore Charlie Reiter led all Trojan golfers with a tie for 19th to lead the USC men's golf team in the final round of the Nike Golf Collegiate Invite at the Pumpkin Ridge G.C. in Witch Hollow, Ore., on Tuesday (Oct. 1).

The Trojans, playing without freshman Yuxin Lin who won the Asia-Pacific Amateur title in China on Sunday, finished 11th at 9-over 861 (285-287-289).

Reiter, in the hunt for a top 10 finish early in the round, still tied for 19th at 2-under 211 (70-67-74), his best finish since starting his college career last season with a tie for sixth at the Fighting Illini Invitational. He was 4-over going out today but came home at 1-under with birdies on 15 and 18.

Tanabe tied for 36th at 2-over 215 (68-79-68) and has been par or better in five of six rounds this year. He went out at 2-under with three front nine birdies and was 4-under for the round before a late birdie on 18.

Senior Kyle Suppa tied for 51st at 6-over 219 (74-73-72) with five birdies on the day, including on 16 and 17. Junior Kaito Onishi tied for 61st at 10-over 223 (73-75-75) while sophomore Cameron Henry was 72nd at 16-over 229 (82-72-75).
