USC Women’s Tennis Takes On Notre Dame at College MatchDay

THIS WEEK
The No. 19 ranked USC women's tennis team travels to Orlando, Fla. to challenge the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Saturday, Feb. 15 at 2 p.m. PT as part of College MatchDay at the USTA National Campus. The match will air live on Tennis Channel Plus and will be rebroadcast on the Tennis Channel at 3 p.m. PT on Sunday, Feb. 16.
College MatchDay is a series of marquee neutral-site college tennis matches designed to showcase some of the nation's top collegiate tennis programs. The event is free and will feature a Net Generation kids' clinic, as well as additional kids' activities, live music, specialty food and drinks, games and giveaways. In the past three years, College MatchDay events at the USTA National Campus have attracted more than 15,000 fans.
ORACLE/ITA RANKINGS UPDATES
In the most recent Oracle/ITA Rankings (Jan. 29), the Trojans are now the No. 19 ranked team in the nation. USC boasts three nationally ranked singles players and one ranked doubles pair. Senior Angela Kulikov is Troy's highest ranked player at No. 15, her highest career ranking. Kulikov is undefeated this dual match season at 4-0, all from the No. 1 position. Senior Sydney Van Alphen holds the No. 108 position and sophomore Danielle Willson close behind at No 119. The USC duo of Angela Kulikov/Danielle Willson is ranked No. 30, and the Trojan pair of Angela Kulikov/Eryn Cayetano is ranked No. 36. Kulikov/Cayetano are undefeated in doubles going 4-0 from the No. 1 position.
SCOUTING NOTRE DAME
The Notre Dame Fighting Irish hold a 6-3 record on the 2020 season. The team is not currently ranked in the Top 25 and is coming off a 4-3 win over Purdue in West Lafayette, Ind. The Fighting Irish boast just one ranked singles player: No. 122 Ally Bojczuk. USC is 1-2 all-time against Notre Dame.
