USC Women's Tennis Returns Home to Challenge UCLA and Loyola Marymount

THIS WEEK
The No. 31 ranked USC women's tennis team returns home to Marks Stadium for two matches this weekend. The Women of Troy will take on crosstown rival UCLA in a non-conference match up on Friday (Feb. 28) at 1:30 p.m. PST and challenge Loyola Marymount on Saturday (Feb. 29) at 12 p.m. PST.

ORACLE/ITA RANKINGS UPDATES
In the most recent Oracle/ITA Team Rankings (Feb. 25), the Trojans are now the No. 31 ranked team in the nation. Singles and doubles rankings remained the same from Feb. 18. USC boasts one nationally ranked singles player in senior captain Angela Kulikov at No. 25. Kulikov is undefeated this dual match season at 7-0, all from the No. 1 position. In doubles, the USC duo of Angela Kulikov/Danielle Willson is ranked No. 33.

GOING STREAKING
Angela Kulikov continues to ride a strong winning streak, as well as both being undefeated in singles and doubles. Kulikov is 7-0 in dual matches (all from the No. 1 position). In doubles, Kulikov and her partner freshman Eryn Cayetano are 6-0 all from the No. 1 position.

SCOUTING UCLA
The No. 8 ranked UCLA Bruins are 8-1 on the season with their only loss coming to No. 2 North Carolina back on Feb. 10. UCLA boasts four players with singles rankings: No. 8 Abigail Forbes, No. 12 Elysia Bolton, No. 19 Jada Hart and No. 114 Annette Goulak. In addition, the Bruins have the No. 1 ranked doubles pair in the nation in Elysia Bolton and Jada Hart. Most recently, UCLA swept California 7-0 in Westwood, Calif. on Feb. 21. USC is 50-47 against UCLA all-time.

SCOUTING LOYOLA MARYMOUNT
The Loyola Marymount Lions are 3-1 on the 2020 season. The team is not currently ranked, nor do they have any ranked singles or doubles players. Most recently, the Lions defeated Utah 4-2 in Los Angeles on Feb. 16. USC is undefeated against Loyola Marymount going 18-0 all-time in their series.
