No. 18 USC Women’s Tennis to Face No. 8 Pepperdine On Saturday

THIS WEEK
The No. 18 USC women's tennis team will head to Malibu, Calif. to challenge the Pepperdine Waves on Saturday (Mar. 19) at 1 p.m. PT.
ORACLE/ITA RANKINGS UPDATES
In the most recent ITA team rankings (March 16), the Women of Troy bumped up two positions, to No. 18 after going 3-0 this past weekend at home.
The ITA released new singles and doubles rankings on March 9 and three Trojans hold national rankings - No. 6 Eryn Cayetano, No. 29 Salma Ewing and No. 60 Snow Han. The Trojans also have two ranked duos - No. 29 Salma Ewing / Snow Han and No. 49 Eryn Cayetano/Grace Piper.

CAYETANO CAPTURES PAC-12 P.O.W.
In USC's first match of the weekend against Arizona State, Cayetano's win was a bright moment of the match in the Trojan's 4-1 victory over the Sun Devils. Cayetano defeated ASU's Domenika Turkovic in straight sets - 6-4,6-2 to collect the win. A day later, Cayetano clinched the match for USC against Arizona, downing Wildcat Lexi Ryngler 6-1,2-6,6-3 on court two. Also on Saturday, Cayetano defeated Hawaii Pacific's Elodie Busson 6-3, 6-2 to put the Trojans up 3-0.
Cayetano, a junior at USC, is currently riding a four-match winning streak.
In addition to her singles victories, she won all three of her doubles matches as well, making her the only player on the Trojan roster this past weekend to collect six wins.
SCOUTING PEPPERDINE
No. 8 Pepperdine is 9-3 on the season and boasts a roster that includes seven ranked singles and three ranked duos. Leading the Waves in singles play is #18 Shiori Fukuda, followed by #22 Lisa Zaar, #39 Taisiya Pachkaleva, #48 Victoria Flores, #88 Janice Tjen, #98 Nikki Redelijk and #109 Savannah Broadus. They also boast three ranked duos - #9 Savannah Broadus/Janice Tjen, #14 Victoria Flores/Lisa Zaar and #40 Victoria Flores/Janice Tjen.
