Freshman Mahanth Chirravuri is tied for 15th to lead the USC men's golf team during a darkness-shortened two-round first day of the Inverness Intercollegiate in Toledo, Ohio, on Monday (Sept. 26).
The Trojans are a combined 29-over and are 14th, which includes a 12-over first round. Georgia Tech is first at 2-over.
Play will resume at 8:45 a.m. with the final round to follow. There are about three holes to play per player in the 16-team field.
Chirravuri opened with a 1-over 72 in the first round with three birdies. He is 2-over through 15 of his second round and in the hunt for a top 10 finish.
Senior Parker Sisk is tied or 42nd at 7-over, which includes a season-best 2-over first round.
Sophomore Jackson Rivera is tied for 55th at 9-over, senior Jack Boulger is tied for 72nd at 12-over and sophomore Gavin Aurilia is 80th at 14-over.
