USC Track & Field Sends Small Group To Arkansas Qualifier

A group of seven USC track and field athletes will compete this week at the Arkansas Qualifier held at Randal Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville, Ark. on Feb. 17.

The Trojans added this meet to the schedule to give several athletes an additional chance to secure a better qualifying time for the 2023 NCAA Indoor Championships which will be held at the Albuquerque Convention Center in Albuquerque, N.M. on March 10-11.

USC has athletes competing indoors for the fifth consecutive week. The Trojan men enter the week ranked No. 10 and the women are ranked No. 16.

The Arkansas Qualifier runs from 10:30 a.m. - 5:15 p.m. (PT).

USC has the following athletes entered in the denoted events:

Men: Ashton Allen (60m, 400m), Johnnie Blockburger (400m), Johnny Brackins Jr. (60m H, LJ), Brendon Stewart (60m), Max Thomas (200m)

Women: Kimberly Harris (400m), Samirah Moody (60m, 200m)

The Trojans will be competing next week at the Ken Shannon Last Chance Meet held at Dempsey Indoor in Seattle, Wash. on Feb. 24 and Feb. 25.
