Tade Ojora Sets USC Track & Field 60m Hurdles Record In Winning At New Mexico Classic

Trojans close out the meet with another strong showing
Tade Ojora set the USC record in winning the men's 60m hurdles to lead the Trojans during the final day of the New Mexico Collegiate Classic held at the Albuquerque Convention Center in Albuquerque, N.M. today (Feb. 4).
- Ojora won the men's 60m hurdles title with a school-record time of 7.58. Taking second in the event was 2016 Olympic 110m hurdles gold medalist and 2-time NCAA 60m hurdles champion Omar McLeod. Johnny Brackins Jr. had a PR of 7.63 to finish fourth. His time moves him from 7th to 3rd on USC's all-time 60m hurdles list.
- Samirah Moody took second in the women's 60m dash final with a PR of 7.19. That time moves her to 4th on USC's all-time list. Her previous PR of 7.24 was set in the prelims.
- Brendon Stewart took third in the men's 60m dash final with a time of 6.61. He had a time of 6.60 in the prelims to advance first to the finals.
- William Jones took fourth with a time of 46.80 and Darius Rainey sixth with a PR of 47.01 in the men's seeded 400m dash.
- The men's 4x400m relay team of Johnnie Blockburger, Darius Rainey, William Jones and Justin Braun had a time of 3:06.70 to finish sixth. Their time is the 9th-fastest in USC indoor history.
- Dominique Ruotolo placed 7th in the women's triple jump with a best leap of 40-9.25 (12.43m). Her jump moves her to 10th on USC's all-time indoor triple jump list.
- Kiara Strayhorn won the women's 60m hurdles qualifier with a PR of 8.42. She advanced to the preliminary rounds where she had a time of 8.46 to finish 18th.
