USC Women's Golf and Jasmine Koo Stay in Second After Round Two at Stanford Intercollegiate

Freshman Jasmine Koo posted is now five-under par and is one stroks back of the lead after the second round in Stanford, Calif.
USC remains in firm control of second place out of 19 teams, as it is one of two teams in the field below par after the second round. The Trojans counted a 69-69-71-4 (283, -1) as they posted the second-best round on the day (Texas, -2). Stanford remains ahead in their home tournament at 11-under par and was two-over par for the day.
Koo and sophomore Bailey Shoemaker recorded the best scores of the morning for the Women of Troy, carding a 69 (-2). Koo's two-under-par performance allowed her to keep the pace and stay tied for second, and Shoemaker moved up 14 spots and is now tied for ninth place. Koo is five-under-par, and Shoemaker is two-under par overall for the tournament.
Washington's Vivian Lu holds the tournament lead at six-under par, as Koo is one-stroke back heading into the final day.
Junior Catherine Park is the third Trojan currently within the top ten, as she is two-under par for the tournament and was even par during the second round. Park had a relatively calm round as she recorded two birdies and two bogeys: one on both the front and back sides of the course.
Senior Xin (Cindy) Kou recorded the final counting score as she carded a 74 (+3). Kou totals 152 (+10) strokes through two rounds of play and is tied for 69th. Freshman Kylie Chong produced a 75 (+4), is now five-over par, and is tied for 44th.
USC returns to the course for the final round at the Stanford Intercollegiate tomorrow morning at the Stanford Golf Course.
