USC’s first match play event of the year will be nationally televised.
LOS ANGELES — Competing in one of the most prestigious events in collegiate golf, the No. 2 USC Women's Golf team wraps up the fall slate at the East Lake Cup, held at the East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, Ga. from Oct. 26-28.
All three days of the tournament will be nationally televised on the Golf Channel. A link to live results will be on the women's golf team's schedule page on usctrojans.com.
USC will face No. 21 Arkansas, Eastern Michigan and T-No.25 Oklahoma State — all of whom made the match play of the NCAA Tournament last year. In fact, USC beat Arkansas 3-2 in the semifinals after Arkansas beat Oklahoma State in the quarterfinals.
The teams will play one round of stroke play to determine seeding and the individual winner on Monday, starting at 7:30 a.m. PT. From there, the first round of match play will be on Tuesday at 7:40 a.m. PT, then the championship match will take place Wednesday at 7:40 a.m. PT.
At this tournament last year, Sarah Hammett's shared third-place finish led the Trojans in stroke play, which was shortened to nine holes due to inclement weather. After placing second in stroke play, USC lost to defending national champion and 3-seed Northwestern in the quarterfinals, then beat Florida State in the consolation match.
Four of the five lineup players from last year's squad will compete this week: Kylie Chong, Sarah Hammett, Jasmine Koo and Elise Lee. Bailey Shoemaker played in the lineup as a freshman and a sophomore.
This will be USC's fourth straight appearance in the East Lake Cup. In 2024, USC swept the team and individual titles; Koo won the individual title, earning one of her school-record four wins that year.
Additionally, during Monday night's reception, the winner of the Tom Cousins Award will be announced. Bailey Shoemaker was the recipient last season.
