No. 5 USC Women’s Golf Finishes Tied for 13th at Charles Schwab Women’s Collegiate

FORT WORTH, Texas – No. 5 women's golf rounded out the Charles Schwab Women's Collegiate tied for 13th out of 15 teams on Tuesday, Mar. 25, at the Colonial C.C.
The Trojans posted their worst finish of the season after recording a top-three placement in all seven stroke-play events this season. USC ended the tournament 37-over par (877) after posting a 15-over par round three (877). No. 1 Stanford took home the team title at even-par (840).
Junior Catherine Park had the best finish, as she tied for 37th in the field at nine-over par. Park sat fourth on the team in the final round, carding a 78 (+8) on the final day. Park collected just one birdie in the round and had two double bogeys.
Freshman Kylie Chong had the best final round for the Trojans as she was even par (70) on the final day; her third round of par or better of the season. Chong mimicked her round on both sides of the course, two birdies and two bogeys on both the front and back nine. Chong finished 11-over par and ended up tied for 46th.
Joining Chong is freshman Jasmine Koo, who was also 11-over par for the tournament. Koo's final round was a 72 (+2) as she had four birdies and four bogeys but had a double bogey on hole No. 2.
Sophomore Bailey Shoemaker ended up 12-over par and tied for 53rd on the leaderboard. Shoemaker went birdieless in the final round and had five bogeys to card a 75 (+5).
Senior Xin (Cindy) Kou was the non-counting score, as she went nine-over for the round and ended 14-over par for the tournament. Kou ended up tied for 58th in the field.
Next, the Trojans will send three current players—Koo, Park, and Shoemaker—to the Augusta National Women's Amateur from Wednesday, Apr. 2, through Saturday, Apr. 5.
