USC Rowing Takes Sixth In Big Ten Championships Debut
May 18, 2025 | Women's Rowing
Two boats posted first-place finishes in petite finals, with three USC boats racing in grand finals today in Indianapolis.
INDIANAPOLIS — Competing in the program's first Big Ten Championships, the USC women's rowing team placed sixth at the event in Indianapolis, Ind. Under the direction of first-year head coach Kelsie Chaudoin, the Trojans recorded a pair of first-place finishes in petite finals and had three boats racing in grand finals out at Eagle Creek Reservoir.
Crossing first in their respective petite finals for the Trojans were USC's 1v4+ boat (Coxswain: Ellen Ariathurai, Stroke: Gracie Regan, 3: Maeve Clifford, 2: Olivia Wilson, Bow: Abbie Diemer) and the 1V8+ boat (Coxswain: Mia Kirkorsky, Stroke: Viktoryia Vasilyeva, 7: Gerli Endrekson, 6: Annabel Aron, 5: Francesca Garijo, 4: Olivia Aceves, 3: Chloe Amling, 2: Alex DeLisle, Bow: Louise Gyssels) — both with commanding leads over the second-place finishers.
USC's grand final participants posted one fourth-place (2V4+) and two fifth-place finishes (3V4+ and 2V8+) to help No. 23-ranked USC wrap its Big Ten Championships debut with 131 points — four ahead of seventh-place Minnesota and just four behind fifth-place and No. 17-ranked Ohio State.
