Ausar Signs With USC Men's Basketball

Ezra Ausar comes to USC from the University of Utah.
LOS ANGELES - USC Men's Basketball makes another move in the transfer portal as incoming senior forward Ezra Ausar joins the roster, Head Coach Eric Musselman announced today.
"We are excited to welcome Ezra to our Trojan family. Ezra is an explosive athlete and has the ability to create mismatches. He is a high-volume free-throw attempt player. We will be able to play Ezra all over the floor with his unique skill set. Ezra is an exciting player who will instantly make a huge impact for us."
Ausar becomes a Trojan after spending last season as a Utah Ute. The 6-foot-8 forward was Utah's second-leading scorer and rebounder this past season, averaging 12.5 points and 5.0 rebounds per contest. Ausar increased his output in both categories in Big 12 play, averaging 13.4 points and 5.4 rebounds in 19 conference appearances. The Atlanta native scored 20-plus points in six games last season, including a season-high 26 points against BYU. Ausar featured in 31 games for the Utes, including 29 starts.
Before playing for Utah, Ausar spent two seasons as part of East Carolina's roster. During his second season as a Pirate, Ausar set the record for most points in an AAC Tournament game by a Pirate as he scored 28 points in a second-round victory against Tulsa. He was also an AAC All-Freshman Team selection in his first season. In 95 career games so far, Ausar averaged 11.2 points and 5.0 rebounds on 53 percent shooting.
Prior to his collegiate basketball career, Ausar was a 2021-22 McDonald's All-American nominee after averaging a double-double per game for Liberty Heights Athletic Institute. Along with that, he was named to the Phenom Hoop State Championship All-Tournament First Team. Before he played at Liberty Heights Athletic Institute, Ausar played at IMG Academy and Shiloh High School.
