
USC’s Charlie Mills Helps USA To Silver At U20 Men’s Water Polo World Championships

USC goalie Charles Mills earned a silver medal with the U.S. Junior National Team after powerful performances in the cage at the World Aquatics U20 Championships in Zagreb, Serbia. Mills pinned up 11 saves in the final game against Spain as the USA earned its highest-ever finish at a men's world championship event.
Mills averaged 7.7 saves per game and saw time in the cage in all seven USA games at the U20 event, tallying double-digit saves in three games, including a crucial penalty stop during the Americans' shootout win over Serbia in the quarterfinals. He was named the Player of the Match after that quarterfinal win that sent USC to the semifinals.
Mills is entering his redshirt sophomore season at USC this fall, where he and the Trojans will be looking to extend their NCAA streak to 21 straight appearances.
