Jacqueline Duarte Named to Big Ten Preseason Watch List

Duarte recieved the honor alongside 18 Big Ten student-athletes.
ROSEMONT, lll. – Redshirt senior Jacqueline Duarte earned recognition on the Big Ten's 2025 Women's Runners to Watch List, announced by the conference on Wednesday. The watch list is determined by the conference's head coaches and features 18 student-athletes from across the Big Ten.
Duarte competed in all five meets last fall season, placing 21st in her first appearance of the season at the Waves Invite. The Chino Hills native gave her best performance of the season at the Highlander Invitational where she led the Trojans with a career-best of 22:35.5 in the 6k.
Duarte and the Women of Troy will appear in their first meet of the season, the Pepperdine Waves Invitational, on August 29. The women's 4k is set for 5:15pm at Alumni Park in Malibu, Calif. The season continues with two meets hosted by UC Riverside and concludes with the Big Ten Championships in East Lansing, Mich. and the NCAA West Regionals in Sacramento, Calif.
