Williams Earns Big Ten Sportsmanship Award
March 10, 2026 | Men's Basketball
This award is given annually to athletes from each Big Ten school that exhibit outstanding sportsmanship.
CHICAGO – The Big Ten Conference announced the conference award winners today. For USC, Terrance Williams II received the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award.
Williams has been with the Trojans for two seasons, serving as a leader for the team on and off the court. He appeared in 30 of the team's 31 games, starting in 13 of them. The graduate student is also a part of the team's community service efforts, volunteering at the Barack Obama Charter School and at Clayton Kershaw's Back to School event, to name a few. He also took advantage of the Big Ten's Big Life Series, where he and other athletes from across the Big Ten visited historical sites from the Civil Rights Movement, traveling from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama.
This award is given to one student-athlete from each institution who has distinguished themselves through sportsmanship and ethical behavior. The award winners must be in good academic standing and have demonstrated good citizenship outside of the sports-competition setting.
Williams and the Trojans will continue their season on Wednesday, March 11, in the second round of the Big Ten Tournament as they take on the Washington Huskies. The winner of this game will move on to face Wisconsin the next day.
