April 07, 2026 | Women's Golf
The Trojans have a five-stroke lead over second-place Eastern Michigan heading into the final round.
NAPA, Calif. — After two rounds of play at Silverado Country Club and Resort, the No. 2 USC Women's Golf team maintained its lead over the 16-team field at the Chevron Silverado Showdown, held in Napa, Calif. on Tuesday, April 7.
The Trojans fired a 282 (-6) at the par-72, 6,146-yard course and have a score of 559 (-17) heading into Wednesday's final round. USC has a five-stroke lead over second-place Eastern Michigan, while Nebraska, Oregon, Cincinnati and UC Davis are all in the top five. USC has led the field in its last 12 rounds of play — a streak dating back four tournaments ago on Feb. 14.
Junior Bailey Shoemaker moved up into second place after firing a 70 (-2) in the second round. She ran into trouble with a pair of bogeys on the front side before playing bogey-free golf with two birdies on the back side. Her 139 (-5) is one stroke behind Eastern Michigan's Janae Leovao, who leads the field.
Moving into the top 10 with the Trojans' best round of the day, sophomore Jasmine Koo is tied for seventh with a 141 (-3) after firing a 69 (-3) on Tuesday. Koo found trouble with two bogeys as she approached the turn, but the sophomore recovered with five birdies on the back side — including three straight to finish her round.
Senior Catherine Park is also tied for seventh. She found difficulty in her second round with four bogeys and just two birdies to finish with a 74 (+2).
Finishing in a tie for ninth, Elise Lee is the fourth Trojan in the top 10 with a 142 (-2). Lee fired a 73 (+1) with three bogeys, but recovered with two birdies in the final five holes to push her score closer to par.
Competing as an individual, freshman Sarah Hammett improved by one stroke in round two with a 71 (-1) that featured just one bogey and two birdies. She is tied for 12th place with a 143 (-1) heading into the final round.
Sophomore Kylie Chong rounds out the Trojans in a tie for 15th after firing a 70 (-2). Chong was the biggest mover for the Trojans, having come into the second round in a tie for 33rd place. She has a 144 (E) heading into tomorrow's final round.
Tomorrow's round will start with an 8:30 a.m. PT shotgun start. All pertinent information can be found on the women's golf team's schedule page on usctrojans.com.
