USC Lacrosse Hosts Ohio State for Senior Day

The Trojans face the Buckeyes in a must-win situation to keep their Big Ten tournament hopes alive
LOS ANGELES – USC lacrosse (7-8, 0-6 Big Ten) hosts Ohio State (7-6, 2-4) on Saturday (April 11) at Rawlinson Stadium for Senior Day. The Trojans and the Buckeyes will draw at 1 p.m. PT and be shown live on Big Ten Plus. The Women of Troy seek their first Big Ten victory of the season and will need to win each of their final two games to stay in the hunt for a spot in the league's postseason tournament set to be played in Ann Arbor, Mich., in just two weeks.

Set to begin just after 12:45 p.m., pregame ceremonies to celebrate the careers of eight USC seniors will be held at midfield of the Trojans' new stadium. Among the Women of Troy who will be honored are Hannah Barron, Lillie Bea Cope, Kate Gerrity, Hollis Mulry, Haley Newton, Maggie Ramsay, Asjia Roberson, and Casey Roberts. USC is 11-1 all-time in Senior Day games with the only loss a one-goal affair against Stanford in 2021.

OHIO RIZZ: Second-year USC assistant Jill Rizzo played goalie for Ohio State (2017-21) where she produced a program-record 777 saves. As a freshman in 2017, she faced a ninth-ranked USC in a neutral-site game in Mountain Lakes, N.J., and had 13 saves in a 16-7 loss where she went 60 minutes in the cage.

25 BUCKS: Senior midfielder No. 25 Casey Roberts played her first two collegiate seasons (2023-24) at Ohio State. She appeared in 28 games for the Buckeyes and totaled 35 points (21g, 14a) with 19 ground balls.

TRIPLE-DOUBLE: There are three sets of twins on the USC roster. The eldest of the three sister duos are the Buntings. Junior attacker Emma Bunting and junior midfielder Lily Bunting are from Mount Laurel Township, N.J., just each of the Philadelphia Metropolitan area. Sophomore midfielders Alex May and Skylar May are both from Greenwood Village, Colo. And freshmen twin sisters Hadley Holland (an attacker) and Riley Holland (a defender) are both from Madison, N.J. Two other twin pairs have suited up in the Cardinal and Gold previously but were not on the roster at the same time. From 2014-16, Glade and Shannon Nugent played for the Trojans and then from 2020-21 twins Delaney and Savannah Sweitzer played at USC.
STATE YOUR CASE: USC's 33-woman roster has players from 12 different states. California leads with five from the Golden State. Colorado, Connecticut, Maryland, and New Jersey are each represented by four Trojans. Massachusetts and Pennsylvania each have three players on the roster while New York has two. HOME, SWEET HOME: The Trojans are 84-29 all-time in home games. Between 2015 and 2018, the Trojans won 23 straight games on McAlister Field. Including two wins at the LA Memorial Coliseum, USC claimed 25 consecutive home victories during the impressive streak. The Trojans are 7-7 at the historic Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. USC and Northwestern played the Trojans' inaugural game there on Feb. 9, 2013. Against opponents at the Coliseum, USC is 0-2 against Northwestern, 3-1 against Stanford, 2-2 against Colorado, 1-0 against both Arizona State and California, and is 0-1 with San Diego State and Johns Hopkins.

TRANSFER CREDITS: USC welcomed a pair of new Trojans through the NCAA's Transfer Portal this season. Attacker Frankie Garcia from San Diego State and goalie Ellie Thomas from New Hampshire. Garcia arrives as a junior while Thomas will be a sophomore in 2026.

BIG HATS: Seven different Trojans have racked hat tricks this season. Kaylee Fravert and Emma Bunting lead all players with four games each. Reese Robinson has had three, while Vivian Leuthold and Alex May have each registered a pair of hat trick games. Hannah Barron and Hollis Mulry each have one. Leuthold scored a season-high four goals in USC's season opener against Cal and did it again against Niagara. Robinson's four-goal outburst at Arizona State (Feb. 28), again at Central Michigan (April 6), and Bunting's four-goal performance against Penn State are the other two Trojan highs this spring.

DRAW ARTIST: Midfielder Anna Regan produced her ninth-career double-digit draw control game with 19 against Niagara (March 8). Her 311 career draw controls rank second in USC history and ranks 14th among active players nationally. She needs 111 to match USC's all-time leader Michaela Michael (2014-17) who had 422 draw controls in her illustrious career. This season, Regan ranks seventh in the Big Ten with 79 draw controls.

HOT DISH: Attacker Emma Bunting has handed out 26 assists (sixth in the Big Ten) this spring and ranks sixth in the Big Ten for assists per game (1.86 apg). She had 18 assists as a sophomore in 2025 and now has 44 in her career.

BARRON OF BREAKUPS: Midfielder Hannah Barron has 14 caused turnovers (29 career) to date to rank third on the team. She has also picked up 21 ground balls for third on the team.

She is tied for 17th in the Big Ten for caused turnovers (1.10 ctpg) and is tied for seventh in ground balls (1.80 gbpg). She registered career highs of four caused turnovers and five ground balls in games this season.
