No. 25 USC Baseball Falls to No. 1 UCLA in Big Ten Tournament Semifinals

OMAHA, Neb. –The No. 25 USC baseball team fell in the ninth inning to No. 1 UCLA in the semifinals of the Big Ten Tournament on Saturday afternoon in Omaha.
The Trojans rallied to take the lead in the top of the ninth, but UCLA got a walk-off three-run homer from Mulivai Levu to win it. USC falls to 43-15, while UCLA moves to 50-6.
After falling behind in the seventh, the Trojans got an RBI groundout from Isaac Cadena and a sacrifice fly from Jack Basseer to take a 5-4 lead. Adrian Lopez led the ninth inning rally with a single and scored the game-tying run.
USC had an early lead in the game after putting up one in the first and two in the third. Augie Lopez had two of USC's first three RBI and Cadena also had a sac fly in the third. A two-run home run by UCLA in the seventh gave the Bruins their first lead of the game.
The Trojans will now await their postseason draw with Monday's NCAA Tournament selection show. The 2026 selection show will air on ESPN2 at 9 a.m. PT. The 16 regional hosts for the tournament will be announced on Sunday night via NCAA social media and on NCAA.com.
