2021: Schirmer will battle to get into the offensive line rotation as a senior in 2021.
2020: Schirmer opted out of his 2020 redshirt freshman season as an offensive lineman in 2020.
2019: Schirmer did not see action at offensive tackle as a junior in 2019. He missed 2019 spring drills due to a personal reason.
2018: Schirmer, who previously played at a junior college, saw brief action in 3 games (UNLV, Washington State, Arizona State) on special team as a sophomore offensive tackle in 2018.
JUNIOR COLLEGE: He played offensive tackle at Mt. San Antonio Junior College in Walnut (Calif.) as a 2016 freshman. He did not play football in 2015 or 2017.
HIGH SCHOOL: He prepped at Lakewood (Calif.) High, where he was a senior offensive lineman in 2014.
PERSONAL: He is a sociology major at USC. His nickname is “Beeno.” His sister, Brooklyn, is a senior outside hitter on the USC women’s volleyball team, his cousin, Vavae Malepeai, is a senior tailback for the USC football team and another cousin, Blake Sabol, was a catcher for USC’s baseball team (2017-19) who was in the Pittsburgh Pirates system. His late uncle, Titus Tuiasosopo, played offensive guard for the USC football team (1990-92), while another uncle, Matt Toeaina, played defensive tackle at Oregon (2003-06) and for the NFL’s Cincinnati Bengals (2007) and Chicago Bears (2007-12).
