2025: Urlacher, who transferred from Notre Dame in the summer of 2025, will compete for playing time at safety in 2025.
NOTRE DAME: As a freshman in 2024, he saw action in 14 games while recording 12 tackles, including 1 for loss and 2 PBUs.
HIGH SCHOOL: Urlacher, a four-star recruit, was rated as the No. 9 player in the state of Arizona by Rivals No. 19 by 247Sports, No. 21 by On3 and No. 29 by ESPN. He was touted as the No. 39 safety in the country by Rivals, No. 88 by On3, No. 89 by 247Sports and No. 112 by ESPN.
He finished his high school career with 127 tackles, 3 INTs, 2 forced fumbles, 1 TD and a blocked field goal.
As a senior in 2023, he earned All-State and First Team All-Region honors.
As a sophomore in 2021, he was named Chandler’s Special Teams Player of the Year.
As a freshman in 2020, he was selected as a MaxPreps Freshman All-American.
PERSONAL: His father, Brian, was an All-American football player at New Mexico. He then was drafted with the No. 9 overall pick in the 2000 NFL Draft by the Chicago Bears. While in Chicago, he was named the 2000 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year, the 2005 NFL Defensive Player of the Year, a four-time First Team All-Pro and an eight-time Pro Bowl selection. His number, 44, is retired at New Mexico.
