2014: Smith redshirted as a reserve walk-on freshman tailback in 2014, his first year at USC.
HIGH SCHOOL: Smith ran for 1,334 yards on 175 carries (7.6 avg) with 15 touchdowns (averaging 148.2 yards per game), caught 17 passes for 242 yards (14.2 avg) with 2 TDs and returned 7 kickoffs for 151 yards (21.6 avg) in 2013 as a senior running back at Flintridge Prep in La Canada Flintridge (Calif.). He made the Pasadena Star News All-Area first team in 2012 (defensive back) and 2013 (running back).
As a 2012 junior, he made All-Prep League first team as he had 1,480 yards on 148 carries (10.0 avg) with 23 TDs, plus 18 receptions for 253 yards (14.1 avg) with 3 TDs on offense, 6 interceptions and a blocked field goal on defense, and 5 kickoff returns for 72 yards (14.4 avg).
He made All-Prep League second team as a 2011 sophomore.
He also was on the basketball and track teams at Flintridge Prep.
PERSONAL: He is a political economy major at USC with a B+ average (3.50 GPA). He previously lived in Denver, Kansas City and Chicago.
