THIS SEASON: Walker Bell, a 2019 senior, is a versatile swimmer who provides scoring for the Trojans in a variety of tough events.
2018: Bell, as a 2018 junior, was a three-time B finalist for the second year in a row at the Pac-12 Championships, taking 13th in the 200y IM (PR 1:45.36), 14th in the 400y IM (3:51.31, with PR 3:49.59 in prelims) and 16th in the 200y fly (1:46.27, with PR 1:45.11 in prelims).
2017: Bell made steady improvement as a 2017 sophomore and was a three-time B finalist at the 2017 Pac-12 Championships, finishing 14th in the 400y IM (3:52.64, 3:51.05 in prelims) and 15th in both the 500y free (4:24.79) and the 200y fly (1:46.06, 1:45.38 in prelims). His top Pac-12 times were all season bests ... He won the 500y free against UC Santa Barbara in 4:40.13 and the 1000y free vs. Cal Poly in 9:34.56 ... He competed at the 2017 U.S. Summer nationals, in the 50m (46th), 100m (66th) and 200m fly (52nd).
2016: Bell competed in two events as a freshman at the 2016 Pac-12 Championships, finishing 18th in the 400y IM (3:50.19, PR) and 20th in the 200y fly (1:47.28, 1:46.95 in prelims). He swam an exhibition 200y IM that produced a 1:48.61, an NCAA B cut and PR. Bell was also a reliable contributor in the distance free throughout his freshman season.
HIGH SCHOOL: Bell, who prepped at Dos Pueblos High in Goleta, Calif., led his school to the 2015 Channel League title, winning the 200y and 500y free in the process ... at the 2014-15 CIF Division I Championships, he was second in the 50y back and sixth in the 200y IM and 500y free ... He won the 200m IM at the 2014 Speedo Champions Series at Clovis, Calif., and was eighth in the 400m IM.

PERSONAL: Bell, a business administration major, competed in triathlons since he was 10 and raced in his first U.S. Open in 2011 at age 13.
