THIS SEASON: Thibault Forget enters his third season at USC.
2016-17: Forget opened his junior season with a career-high singles ranking of No. 85 and was ranked as high as No. 35 in doubles with partner Logan Smith... Had the clinching singles win in four dual matches... Earned Pac-12 All-Academic Honorable Mention... Reached the ITA Southwest Regional singles final... Was second on the team in total singles wins, going 29-14 overall, with a 16-8 mark in dual matches... Played primarily at the No. 5 position (11-4)... Also played at No. 1 (1-0), No. 2 (1-1), No. 3 (2-1) and No. 4 (1-2)... In doubles, went 9-5 overall with a 2-0 mark in dual matches... Was 4-2 overall and 2-0 in dual matches with Jack Jaede... Also went 3-2 with Smith, and was 2-1 with Rob Bellamy... In the fall, reached the SoCal Intercollegiate singles semifinals..
2015-16 SEASON: Forget earned All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention as a sophomore... Led team in singles wins with a 31-9 overall record and 18-1 dual-match mark... Held an 11-match singles win streak during the spring... Went 10-1 at the No. 5 position and was 4-0 at No. 4 and No. 6... Ended the season on a six-match win streak, going 3-0 during the NCAA Tournament... In doubles, went 11-8 overall, going 3-3 in dual matches... Went 3-2 with both Jake DeVine and Tanner Smith... Also paired with Rob Bellamy (1-1), Max de Vroome (2-1), Connor Farren (2-1) and Logan Smith (0-1)... Named Pac-12 Player of the Week on March 21... In the fall, reached the singles final in Flight 2 at the SDSU Fall Invitational and the singles and doubles finals at the Jack Kramer Classic.
2014-15 SEASON: Forget joined the Trojan roster in the spring as a freshman... Went 3-1 overall in singles, going 2-0 in dual matches at the No. 5 and No. 6 positions... In doubles, went 10-9 overall with an 8-6 mark in dual matches... Was 5-3 overall and 5-1 in dual matches with Nick Crystal, going 2-0 at the No. 3 position at the NCAA Tournament... Also went 0-1 with Rob Bellamy, and paired with Max de Vroome (2-3), Roberto Quiroz (2-1) and Tanner Smith (1-1).
HIGH SCHOOL: Forget attended CNED (National Centre for Distance Education) in France... Competed for Tennis Annecy le View and also for Country Club Geneva... Reached the singles final at an open French Tournament... Qualified for the main draw at 2014 Portugal Futures and won first-round match... Also reached main draw at 2014 Spain F1 Futures.
PERSONAL: Thibault Forget is the son of Guy and Isabelle... His father, a two-time French Open doubles finalist and member of two French Davis Cup championship teams, won 11 singles and 28 doubles pro tournaments from 1982 to 1997 (he currently is the captain of France’s Davis Cup team)... Has one brother, Mathieu... Mathieu played tennis at UC Santa Barbara... Says his most thrilling sports moment was winning his first match in a Futures main draw... Enjoys traveling in his free time... Lists Roger Federer as his biggest sports hero... Would like to travel to Rio de Janiero, Brazil... Hopes to play professional tennis or start a career in business after graduation... Majoring in economics.
