Bio
AT USC:
Kathleen Moloney is beginning her third season as a cross country runner for USC...2010: Used a redshirt season for both cross country and track as she was slowed by a back injury...Ran unattached for the cross country team at the CS Northridge Invitational on Oct. 16 and finished 37th with a time of 22:42.7...2009: Enjoyed a strong first season running for USC, finishing among the team[apos]s top four runners in four of her six races....Figured in the scoring in all six races...Was the second Trojan finisher and 20th overall with a time of 23:49.50 in her first collegiate race, the Fullerton Invitational on Sept. 5...Also was the team[apos]s second finisher and 34th overall with a time of 18:48.60 at the UC Irvine Invitational on Sept. 12...Had a season-best 6K time of 21:58.00 and was USC[apos]s third finisher at the Pac-10 Championships on Oct. 30...Also ran track and field her freshman season and posted USC[apos]s second-fastest 5000m time of the season of 17:29.33 at the Ben Brown Invitational on March 6.
HIGH SCHOOL:
Moloney is a 2009 graduate of Gonzaga Preparatory School in Spokane, Wash...She ran both cross country and track in high school and was the varsity cross country captain...In 2005 she was selected as the team[apos]s Outstanding Freshman and in 2006 was named the Most Improved...Named the NECA/IBEW Scholar Athlete of the Fall in 2008...Had a best two-mile time of 11:42 at the 2009 Greater Spokane League District Track and Field Meet...Was a National Merit Finalist, National Honors Society member (2007-2009), Presidential Award winner (2006-09) and Summa Cum Laude (2006, 2007 and 2009).
PERSONAL:
Kathleen was born on April 12, 1991 in Spokane, Wash...Is a Biomedical Engineering major at USC and would like to work on cancer research with nanotechnology.
