Shemera Williams enters her first season at USC as a sophomore transfer from Virginia, having joined the Trojan program in Spring 2021.

Williams was a midseason transfer to USC from Virginia and sat out Spring 2021 at USC due to NCAA transfer rules.
2019-20 FRESHMAN SEASON AT VIRGINIA
Williams appeared in 21 games with two starts as a true freshman at Virginia... Ranked third on the team in scoring, averaging 8.9 points per game... Averaged 2.6 rebounds per game with 44 assists and 30 steals... Sidelined for the first eight games of the season with a lower leg injury... Made her collegiate debut at Rutgers, scoring 14 points (12/5)... Made her first career start in her home court debut against North Carolina, tying for the game high with 12 points with five assists (1/2)... Had nine steals in the win over Duke, one shy of tying the program record for steals in a game... Scored 17 points at Boston College, going 6-of-9 from the field and 4-of-5 from the free throw line (1/12)... Named ACC Freshman of the Week and USWBA Tamika Catchings National Freshman Player of the Week on Jan. 13... Had a team-high eight rebounds against Virginia Tech (1/19)... Had her first career 20-point game at Louisville, scoring all 20 points in the second half (1/23)... Earned her second ACC Freshman of the Week honor on Jan. 27... Williams was ranked as the No. 54 recruit in the country by ESPN and the 13th-ranked point guard out of Milwaukee Academy of Science... A two-time USA Today Wisconsin Player of the Year... Also selected 2019 Associated Press Wisconsin Player of the Year... Led the nation in scoring her junior season, averaging 39.9 points per game... During her final season at Milwaukee Academy of Science, she averaged 32.5 points, 10.3 rebounds, 8.5 assists and 4.5 steals per game... Ranked as the No. 2 all-time scorer in Wisconsin girls high school history with 3,120 career points... Also amassed 775 assists and 960 rebounds... Played club for Wisconsin Playground Elite
