Zayla Tinner enters her first season at USC.
HIGH SCHOOL
Tinner scored over 2,300 points in her career at Amarillo High... Earned all-state honors and was district MVP as a senior... She was also named TGCA 5-6A Athlete of the Year and was the 2020 Best of the Panhandle Female Athlete of the Year... As a junior, she was the Best of the Panhandle Girls Basketball Player of the Year as she helped Amarillo win the a second straight Texas State Championship... She was also named the TABC Player of the Year, earned all-state honors and was named District 3-5A MVP in 2019... As a sophomore, earned all-state honors and was named the Amarillo Globe News Super Team Girls Basketball Player of the year as her team won the 2018 Texas State title... Was 2017 District Newcomer of the year and a first-team all-region honoree as a freshman... Also was a sprinter for Amarillo in her freshman year... Played club basketball for Lil Ladys 2019, Drive Nation and Academy of Hoops.

Zayla Simone Tinner was born April 11, 2002 in Amarillo, Texas... The daughter of Ronnie and Muriel... Has three siblings, Rontray, Joslyn and Sidney... Her mother, Muriel (Brown) Tinner played basketball at Southwestern Oklahoma State... Enjoys shopping and getting her nails done in her free time... Lists LeBron James as her biggest sports hero... Has always wanted to go dirt-biking in the desert... Hopes to travel to Bora Bora and Dubai... Has not decided on a major, but hopes to pursue a career as a chiropractor after playing in the WNBA.
