Cara Smith enters her first season of competition at USC.
HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB
• A 2025 graduate of Darien (Conn.) HS
• Rowed for Greenwich Crew for three years
• Named captain at Greenwich Crew as a senior
• Placed third in U17 V8+ at Youth Nationals as a sophomore
• Finished second in the 1V8+ at Head of the Charles as a junior
PERSONAL: Cara Violet Smith was born July 25, 2007 in Charlotte, N.C.… Daughter of Amy and Mike… Has two siblings: Keegan and Sean… Her father, Mike, played collegiate football at Saint Lawrence… Enjoys hiking, swimming, walking, yoga, baking and reading in her free time… Lists Lindsey Vonn as her biggest sports hero… Has always wanted to compete in a triathlon… Would like to travel to Croatia, Spain and Ireland… Hopes to pursue a career in nursing… Volunteers at her local church and food shelter... Majoring in health promotion and disease prevention.
