Nicole Motta is entering her first season of competition at USC.
HIGH SCHOOL
- Two-time MVP at Dawson College
- Placed fourth place finish at CSSRA
- Had a fourth place finish in the U23 fours at Canadian Henley
WHY SHE CHOSE USC
I chose USC because I felt like my values as an athlete as well as a human being were represented within the team and the institution. I felt at home in the family dynamic of the team, always pushing each other to be better out of compassion, loyalty and trust. I am also very excited to work with such passionate coaches who are leading the team towards big goals and new projects that I want to be a part of.
HER FAVORITE PART ABOUT ROWING
How there are both individual and collective components that go hand in hand when working towards accomplishing rowing goals. The sport allows for more grounds to develop oneself into well-rounded athlete. I also love that this is a sport about constantly pushing mental boundaries and, as a result, my teammates have been the most positive, persevering and loving people I’ve ever met. I’m proud to say they have rubbed off on me as much as I strive to rub off on others.
