Bio
THIS SEASON: An energetic and talented freshman, Courtney Kalisz, a two-time Olympic Trials semifinalist in the 200m fly, enters her first year at Troy looking to be a major contributor as a dual-meet swimmer and in postseason competitions.
HIGH SCHOOL: Kalisz prepped at Fallston (Md.) High, where she set 31 Maryland state records and broke 12 national age group records ... After graduating high school, she competed at the 2008 U.S. Olympic Trials, finishing 11th in the 200m fly (2:10.95) and 69th in the 400m IM (4:58.58) ... She was a 2007 Pan Am Games silver medalist in the 200m fly and ranked No. 19th in the world in the event in 2006. She was a member of the 2006 National B Team and the 2004 and 2005 National Junior Team. She won the 400m IM at the 2005 U.S. Open and won the 200m fly at the 2006 U.S. Spring Nationals ... She was fifth in the 200m fly at the 2005 U.S. World Championship Trials and earned silver in the 200m fly and bronze in the 400m IM at Junior Pan Pacs.
