Maegan Manasse, a collegiate standout and player on the professional tour, has been named the new USC women's tennis volunteer assistant coach, Trojan head coach Alison Swain announced on Feb. 3.

"I'm excited to welcome Maegan to our coaching staff!" said Swain. "Her achievements as a collegiate player and on the professional tour put her at an elite level. She will be a valuable addition to our coaching staff and add another layer to our focus on developing each of our student-athletes as they strive to achieve their goals as Trojans"Â

Manasse, who is the sister of current USC assistant tennis coach Rachel Manasse, played at Cal from 2013-2017 where she was a five-time All-American. During her time at Cal, she held the ITA No. 1 ranking in the nation for both singles and doubles.Â
Â
As a freshman in 2014, Manasse clinched Cal's regular-season win at Stanford that secured the Bears' first Pac-12 Championship.Â

As a sophomore, Manasse earned All-American honors in both singles and doubles and was named to the All-Pac-12 First Team.

 As a junior in 2016, Manasse was the NCAA runnerup in doubles and once again earned All-American honors in both doubles and singles. That same year, she won the Pac-12 singles championship and also claimed the Pac-12 Doubles Team of the Year award with her partner Denise Starr. Manasse again earned All-Pac-12 First Team honors and was named to the 2016 USTA National Collegiate Women's Team.Â

Manasse capped off an outstanding collegiate career in 2017 by collecting her third doubles All-American honor and reached the NCAA Doubles Semifinal match. Once again, Manasse was named to the All-Pac-12 First Team.

Professionally, Manasse has been ranked as high as No. 326 in the world in singles, No. 175 in doubles and won the Houston $125K in doubles. She currently holds WTA rankings of 527 in singles and 341 in doubles.Â

Manasse earned her bachelor's in social welfare in 2018, and is currently enrolled in Cal's Post-Baccalaureate Health Professions program to complete prerequisites for a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Â
