THIS SEASON: Cailin McLennan enters her first season at USC, joining the team as a walk-on goalie.
AT UCSB: McLennan swam for two seasons at UC Santa Barbara... Team won Big West Championships in 2006-07 and 2007-08 school years... Transferred to USC in August 2008.
HIGH SCHOOL: McLennan was a swimmer at Palm Desert High... Set school records in the 50- and 100-yard freestyle races at the DVL Championships... Team won 2006 CIF Division II championship... An honor student.
PERSONAL: McLennan is majoring in communications and working on a progressive degree program for a masters in communication management... Parents are Laurie and Jon... Has one sister, Samantha, and two brothers, Andrew and Ben... Ben also attended USC... Her father played football at Utah and graduated from USC Medical School... Enjoys traveling with friends and family in her free time... Lists Dara Torres and Michael Joordan as her biggest sports heroes... Has always wanted to climb to Mt. Everest base camp and dive with sharks... Hopes to work as a sports anchor... Also an active surfer and snowboarder, and involved in showing horses and playing polo... Born Dec. 16, 1987.
