THIS SEASON: Sandra Stiefel enters her first season at USC.
AT CLAREMONT MCKENNA: Stiefel competed in water polo and swimming at Claremont McKenna College... Reached the Division III National Water Polo Championships in 2008... A member of the 2008 and 2009 swimming and diving SCIAC Championship teams.
HIGH SCHOOL: Stiefel competed in water polo, swimming and tennis at Capistrano Valley High... Water polo team reached the CIF Southern Section Division I quarterfinals in 2006... Received all-league second team honors in 2007... An honor student... Played club for SET and SoCal.
PERSONAL: Stiefel is majoring in kinesiology... Parents are Jurgen and Diane... Has one brother, Robert, and one sister, Jennifer, who is also on the USC women[apos]s team... Lists her father Jurgen, who played for the German Olympic and national teams, as her biggest sports hero... Hopes to move to Europe after graduation to continue her studies... Has always wanted to travel to New Zealand... Born Dec.23, 1988.
