THIS SEASON: Whitney Morgan enters her third season of action at USC one of the top goalies in the MPSF, boasting size and focus to hold her in line for the starting position in the cage.
2007: Morgan was the starting goalie in 21 games and appeared in 22 in her second season at USC... Led the Trojans with 136 saves, allowing 112... Averaged 6.2 saves and 5.1 goals against per game... Ranked third in the MPSF in goals-against average... Highest saves marks of the year came with 11 against UCSB on April 20 and 10 against UCLA in the MPSF semifinals on April 28.
2006: Morgan was USC's starting goalie in her first season of action in the cage... Racked up 202 saves with 141 goals allowed to average 7.2 saves and 5.0 goals against per game... Appeared in 28 games... Had a career-high 12 saves against Stanford in the Santa Barbara Tournament championship game and had 11 saves against UCLA on April 8... Named MPSF Co-Player of the Week twice -- after both double-digit save performances... Received All-America and All-MPSF honorable mention... Named to MPSF All-Freshman Team.
2005: Morgan redshirted her freshman season at USC.
HIGH SCHOOL: Morgan was a two-time All-American at Rio Americano High in Sacramento... Named section, league and team most valuable player in her senior season... Earned section and league first team honors as a junior... Member of the National Honor Society.
PERSONAL: Morgan is majoring in kinesiology... Parents are Mark and Shelley... Has one brother, Van, and one sister, Gillian... Birthdate is Dec. 18, 1985.
