
Trojans In Second After UH Hilo First Round

The USC men's golf team opened the 2009 spring season with a combined 3-under 285 to settle into second place, four strokes off the pace after the first round of the UH Hilo Intercollegiate on Wednesday (Feb. 4) at the Waikoloa C.C. in Waikoloa, Hawaii.
Following Hawaii (281) and USC were Oregon (287), Texas Tech and TCU (291) and Stanford (294).
Junior Jamie Lovemark is tied for third at 3-under 69 after a round that included a 33 on the front 9. Senior Tom Glissmeyer is tied for 14th (71), sophomore Matt Giles is tied for 17th (72), sophomore Tim Sluiter is tied for 24th (73) and senior Ryan Linton is tied for 47th (76). Sophomore Bo DeHuff, playing as an individual, is tied for 90th (82).
Action continues Thursday and Friday.
