Kang Leads Trojans In Stanford Intercollegiate First Round.

Junior Jeffrey Kang fired a 4-under 66 to claim a share of first while freshman Yi Keun Chang carded a 2-under 68 to lead the USC men's golf team into sixth place after the first round of the 2013 U.S. Intercollegiate at the Stanford Intercollegiate on Thursday (March 28).
USC combined for a 3-under 277, five back of first place and host Stanford (272). St. Mary's was second (273) with TCU third (274), San Francisco fourth (275) and San Jose State fifth (276).
Kang sunk three eagles during his round as well as a birdie en route to his 4-under performance. Chang had four birdies during his round, all coming within a 10-hole stretch. He is tied for 13th.
Sophomore Anthony Paolucci is tied for 31st at 1-over 71, senior Sam Smith is tied for 49th at 2-over 70 and junior Ramsey Sahyoun is tied for 83rd at 6-over 76.
The event continues Friday and Saturday (March 29-30).
