Ree Leads Trojans During Northrop Grumman Second Round

Freshman Robynn Ree fired a 2-under 69 to lead the No. 1 USC women's golf during the second round of the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge on Monday (Feb. 8) at the Palos Verdes (Calif.) G.C., the Trojans remaining close enough for a title run.
USC is a combined 16-over 584 (295-289) after 36 holes, 11 back of Alabama and Washington, who are tied for first at 5-over 573.
Ree is tied for second at 1-under 141 (72-69) thanks to a strong second round that featured three birdies against just one bogey. She is after her third top 10 this year.
Junior Karen Chung moved up to a tie for 23rd at 5-over 147 (75-72) while senior Kyung Kim is tied for 26th at 6-over 148 (72-76).
Junior Gabriella Then is tied for 32nd at 7-over 149 (77-72), junior Tiffany Chan is tied for 41st at 10-over 152 (76-76) and junior Elizabeth Doty, playing individually, is tied for 69th at 18-over 160 (78-82).
Final round action is set for Tuesday, beginning at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start. The Trojans will begin between holes 5 and 8.
