Trojans Wrap Runs At ITA All-American

Daniel Cukierman and Tanner Smith took losses today to end their time Tulsa.
TULSA, OKLA. — Daniel Cukierman and Tanner Smith's four-match doubles win streak came to a close today in Tulsa, Okla., as the Trojan duo took a loss in the Round of 16 at the ITA All-American Championships. Cukierman also fell in singles play today, losing in the Round of 32.
Ranked No. 31 in the nation in singles, sophomore Cukierman has issued a decisive win in his main draw debut at the ITA All-American yesterday. Up against No. 39 Majed Kilani of host Tulsa, Cukierman was edged out 6-4, 6-4 in the Round of 32. Later, in doubles, Cukierman and Smith teamed back up looking to extend their run of four consecutive wins stretching back into qualifying action. The No. 40 team in the land, Cukierman and Smith had upset the No. 9 team yesterday. In today's Round of 16, though, Cukierman/Smith were nipped 7-6, 6-4 by Ohio State's Kobelt/Seelig.
