The field will finish rest of second round and final round Sunday.
Junior Justin Suh fired a first-round 67 to lead the No. 21 USC men's golf team into third place after the first round of the Western Intercollegiate at the Pasatiempo G.C. in Santa Cruz, Calif., on Saturday.
Second round play is still finishing due to a rain delay at the start of action today. The second round will resume Sunday morning and will be followed by the third round.
USC combined for a five-player 2-over 352 first round, led by Suh's 3-under effort, his 17th round under par this season and 15th in the 60s. He had five birdies in his first round and was 1 off the first-round lead as he looks for his fifth win this season.
Sophomore Kyle Suppa posted a first-round 1-under 69, his second round in the 60s in a row. He posted a birdie on 12 and pars the rest of the round.
Sophomore Ryan Slater and freshmen Kaito Onishi and Issei Tanabe were tied at 2-over 72 while junior Sam Kim carded a 4-over 74.
