SCOUTING REPORT - CALIFORNIA: The Golden Bears (6-11, 3-7 Pac-12) enter the tournament losers of four of their last five. The lone victory was a 17-8 win over Arizona State. Cal's loss to Oregon (12-8) was the only league win for the Ducks this season. The Bears lead the Pac-12 clearing percentage at 232-for-277. Kirsten Swanson leads Cal with 34 goals; Jenny Wilkens leads the defense with a .380 save percentage. USC is 8-1 all-time against the Bears and has won eight in a row. The teams have never met in a postseason contest.
Â

Previously, the fewest goals ever allowed by USC was one in a 19-1 victory over Fresno State (April 20, 2013). Before the first season of Pac-12 lacrosse, Colorado recorded two shutouts and makes the Trojans' the first by a Pac-12 team since CU's 23-0 win over Saint Mary's College in the MPSF on April 15, 2016.
Â
JUST LIKE THEY DRAW IT UP: Senior defender Jackie Gilbert set a new USC record with 17 draw controls in a single game against Arizona State (April 20). She broke a record previously held by All-American Michaela Michael of 15 set in 2015. Gilbert also became only the third Trojan to cross the 200-career draw control mark and now has 213. Gilbert's 110 draw controls this season ranks third in single-season USC history and make her only the third Trojan to collect 100 or more in a season (Michael and Amanda Johansen are the others). Additionally, Gilbert's 17-draw game is her eighth-career game with 10 or more; only two shy of Michael's 10-game USC record.
