No. 4 USC Women's Golf Places Fourth at the Pac-12 Preview

Amari Avery puts up her second top-three finish of the 2023-24 season
KAILUA KONA, Hawaii - Junior Amari Avery leads the charge as she finishes tied for second, as the team took home the fourth-place prize on Wednesday, Feb. 21, at the Pac-12 Preview at Nanea Golf Club on the Big Island of Hawaii.
USC had a tough day on the course, as it shot nine-over-par as a squad, and the Women of Troy dropped to fourth place. While there were several struggles on the final day, Avery continued to supply a successful outing as she moved all the way up into a tie for second place at seven-under-par. The junior posted a 70, as the highlight of her round was an Eagle on hole No. 13 (par five), giving her two Eagles for the tournament.
Freshman Bailey Shoemaker and senior Brianna Navarrosa followed suit a little more than ten spots back, as Shoemaker finished in a tie for 15th and Navarrosa finished in a tie for 18th. Shoemaker finished the final day five-over-par, as she totaled a two-over-par tournament. Navarrosa had a similar day at four-over-par and finished three-over-par for the event.
Senior Christine Wang was the last of the counting scores, as she finished seven-over-par for the tournament. Similar to Avery, Wang also had an Eagle on hole No. 13 (par five) after posting a triple bogey on hole No. 12. Sophomore Catherine Park finalized the results, as she was ten-over-par and was tied for 38th place.
The Trojans have a two-week break as they compete in the Juli Inkster at the Meadow Club Invitational March 4-5 in Fairfax, Calif.
