The Trojans take on No. 4 California and No. 3 Stanford in a pair of home games this week
LOS ANGELES – No. 1 USC (15-2, 2-1 MPSF) sets up for a big home weekend when No. 4 California (14-3, 1-2) and No. 3 Stanford (12-4, 1-2) visit Uytengsu Aquatics Center for pivotal conference games. The Trojans won three of four in October and will play their last four regular-season games through November in home waters. USC holds the No. 1 ranking in the CWPA poll for the first time this season and moved into the position after earning a 13-12 win over formerly top-ranked UCLA at the Bruins' home pool on Oct. 18.

The teams played to a four-all tie in the opening quarter but USC went in front, 7-6, at halftime and had a two-goal lead, 12-10, heading into the fourth quarter. In the lowest scoring of the four quarters, UCLA evened the score with goals at 5:38 and with 1:06 to play. The Trojans had the answer and moved ahead, 13-12, with just 46 ticks on the clock and then held on to secure the win. Mihailo Vukazic registered the hat trick to lead the Trojans but it was Jack Martin who put the game-winner into the back of the net. Goalies Charlie Mills and Bernardo Herzer split time in goal and each picked up six saves in the win. Among other multiple-goal scorers, Efe Naipoglu and Robert López Duart each scored two in the win.
