USC Women’s Golf Takes Over Palos Verdes for Spring Opener

The Women of Troy start up the spring season with the Therese Hession Regional Challenge at the Palos Verdes Golf Club
LOS ANGELES - No. 4 USC women's golf opens the spring season with the annual Therese Hession Regional Challenge hosted by The Ohio State University on Sunday Feb. 2 through Tuesday Feb. 4 in Palos Verdes Estates, CA at the Palos Verdes Golf Club.

Xin (Cindy) Kou
Senior Xin (Cindy) Kou heads into the first tournament in the spring semester, ranked as the No. 358 individual in the Clippd Scoreboard rankings. Kou played a pivotal part in USC's title run at the East Lake Cup, as she was the deciding point with a 21-hole victory over UCLA in the Semifinals. She has two top-25 finishes this season and a stroke average of 73.66.
Jasmine Koo
This freshman heads into the first tournament of the spring semester and is ranked as the No. 1 individual in the Clippd Scoreboard rankings. Jasmine Koo is the second Trojan in program history to claim three consecutive wins, all earned in her first semester at USC (Windy City Collegiate Classic, Stanford Intercollegiate, East Lake Cup). Her third win was earned after finishing 7-under during the East Lake Cup. Koo leads the team with a stroke average of 69.6.
Bailey Shoemaker
Sophomore Bailey Shoemaker heads into the first tournament of the spring semester, ranked as the No. 49 individual in the Clippd Scoreboard rankings. She has four top-25 finishes in the fall season, two of which being top-10. Shoemaker finished her last tournament at even-par and has a stroke average of 72.
Catherine Park
Junior Catherine Park heads into the first tournament of the spring semester, ranked as the No. 12 individual in the Clippd Scoreboard rankings. She claimed one win during the fall season (Leadership and Golf Invite) and two second-place finishes. Park posted a 68 (-4) during the East Lake Cup, with six birdies and two bogeys. She is second on the team with a stroke average of 71.3.
Kylie Chong
Freshman Kylie Chong heads into the first tournament of the spring semester, ranked at the No. 412 individual in the Clippd Scoreboard rankings. The freshman has one top-25 finish in the fall season, tying for 16th as she was five-over par in the East Lake Cup. Chong has a stroke average of 75.9.
