USC Women’s Golf Bests UCLA in Battle for the Bell

The Trojans won three matches, and halved one, as they beat the Bruins 3.5-1.5
PALOS VERDES ESTATES, Calif. – No. 5 USC women's golf finished a season sweep, as the Trojans posted three individual match victories to take down No. 26 UCLA, 3.5-1.5, on Monday, Mar. 17, at the Palos Verdes G.C.
Junior Catherine Park, freshman Kylie Chong, and sophomore Bailey Shoemaker all earned victories as USC took down the Bruins for the second time this season. The Trojans previously faced UCLA during the East Lake Cup semifinals back in October. In that match, USC won 3-2, with Chong and Park being the lone players who would go on to be 2-0 against the Bruins.
This is the third annual Battle for the Bell matchup (2022-23); UCLA won the two other matchups.
The Trojans are 3-0 in match play events this year with wins over UCLA (twice) and LSU. USC does not have any more scheduled match-play events.
USC heads to Texas as it takes on the Charles Schwab Women's Collegiate Invitational from Monday, Mar. 24, through Tuesday, Mar. 25, at the Colonial C.C. in Fort Worth, Texas.
