March 27, 2025 | Men's Tennis
LOS ANGELES – After a week away, USC men's tennis returns home this weekend to face off against a pair of conference rivals in Washington and Oregon on Friday, March 28, and Sunday, March 30, at David X. Marks Tennis Stadium.
The Trojans last played on the road this past weekend, splitting their two matches with a win against Northwestern and a close loss to #23 Illinois. They are now 9-5 overall this season and 3-1 in conference play.
They will face their first test against Washington. The Huskies are 10-5 overall this season and have gone 2-3 in conference play. They enter the match coming off a 4-1 victory against Oregon. The Huskies have two ranked singles players, No. 51 Cesar Bouchelaghem and No. 111 Dzianis Zharyn, and the two players combine to make the team's only ranked doubles pairing (No. 72).
Following their match-up against the Huskies, the Trojans will face against Oregon. The Ducks are 9-8 this season (1-4 in conference play) and have yet to win a game on the road. Oregon has two ranked singles players, No. 88 Vlad Breazu and No. 99 Lenn Luemkemann.
The Trojans hope to bounce back from their loss with a pair of wins and maintain their position near the top of the Big Ten Conference standings. They are currently in fifth place and will face a handful of top opponents over the coming weeks.
USC's first match against Washington will be at 5 p.m. on Friday, March 28; its match against Oregon will follow at noon on Sunday, March 30, at David X. Marks Tennis Stadium.
