USC Men's Tennis Falls to Nebraska

LINCOLN, Neb. – USC men's tennis (13-9, 7-5 Big Ten) dropped a road match against Nebraska (15-7, 8-4 Big Ten), 4-2, on Friday, Apr. 18, at the Sid and Hazel Dillon Tennis Center.
The Trojans dabbled with a new format in doubles play as freshmen Matteo Morazzi and Nathan Trouve took on the No. 1 role. Graduate student Tristan Bradley and senior Peter Makk went to the No. 2 spot against the Huskers. Both teams found themselves on the losing end of things as the team of Morazzi and Trouve dropped the first match 6-2, followed by Makk and Bradley 6-4.
After a tough showing in doubles, the Trojans went down further after a loss on court No. 2. However, Makk made up some of the difference with another ranked victory, defeating No. 63 Calvin Mueller 6-1, 6-4. Senior Karl Lee tied up the score on court No. 3 with a quick win 6-4, 6-3. The momentum swung back to Nebraska, as it would eventually clinch the match with wins on courts No. 4 and 6.
The Trojans return to action against Wisconsin at 10 a.m. PT on Sunday, Apr. 20 in Madison, Wis.
