No. 4 USC Women's Golf Break Numerous Records To Win The Golfweek Red Sky Classic

Jasmine Koo and Kylie Chong were name co-champions as they both finished at -13.
WOLCOTT, Colo. – No. 4 USC Women's Golf finished out the Golfweek Red Sky Classic with a bang as the Women of Troy finished in first place, topping the tournament record by 13 strokes and setting a new school record by six strokes.
Kylie Chong and Jasmine Koo dominated throughout the entire tournament as the two were named co-champions. In today's front nine, Chong contributed six birdies and only one bogey. From there, she was even through the final nine holes, allowing her to go five under par for the day and 13 under for the tournament. Koo, on the other hand, had four straight birdies to start the day to put her in a good spot. With another birdie and an eagle in the back nine, Koo finished the day going four under par. This, combined with her other two rounds, allowed her to go 13 under for the tournament to tie her teammate.
Catherine Park had a strong finish as she led the Trojans to the lowest round in school history. Sitting at three over par heading into today, Park contributed eight birdies and no bogeys to shoot a 64 in today's round. With this showing, she jumped up to leaderboard to finish tied for 16th and ended the tournament three under par.
Elise Lee and Sarah Hammett had steady showings throughout all three rounds. To conclude the competition, Lee finished in seventh place, going four under par for the second day in a row. Hammett, on the other hand, finished two under par for the day, contributing two early birdies to carry her through. Overall, she went five under par for the tournament to finish in 11th.
As a team, the Trojans broke two school records. First, the Women of Troy secured the lowest team round in school history by going 21 under par today. Prior to this, the school record was 18 under par. Along with that, USC had the lowest team score in school history as they went 45 under par for the entire tournament. The previous record sat at 39 under par. Both records were set when the team won the Icon Invitational in 2022. The Trojans also broke the tournament record for lowest team score, which was set by UCLA in 2018.

USC will travel back to Los Angeles to prepare for their next tournament. They will head to Bay Area for the Stanford Intercollegiate from Oct. 17-19.
