LAST TIME OUT
The Trojans took down the Minnesota Gophers 70-69 on the road in an overtime thriller. While USC controlled the tempo for most of the game, leading by as much as 10, the Gophers found a late-game push to send it to overtime. With big-time shots from downtown, Minnesota took a 69-68 lead with 27 seconds left on the clock, before Chad Baker-Mazara drew a foul on the left lane. He knocked down both bonus shots to seal the victory.

Baker-Mazara posted a game-high 29 points and a career-high eight assists. Ezra Ausar added 14 points and nine rebounds, while Gabe Dynes contributed nine points, two blocks and two assists.

SCOUTING THE TERRAPINS

Maryland enters Tuesday's game 7-9 (.438) overall and 0-5 in Big Ten competition. The Terrapins are coming off a three-game conference losing streak, dropping a 67-55 contest to UCLA on Jan. 10.
In the loss, forward Elijah Saunders recorded his first double-double of the season with a team-high 17 points and 12 rebounds.
Guards David Coit and Darius Adams are the Terrapins' active scoring leaders, both having eclipsed 200 points throughout 16 games.
Forward Washington Solomon has pulled down 75 rebounds in eight games.
Maryland is shooting a conference-low 36.9% from the field. The Terrapins also have the lowest assist-turnover ratio in the Big Ten (0.82). The team averages 10.8 assists (second-lowest) and 13.3 turnovers (tied for most).
The program is coached by Buzz Williams, in his first year in College Park. Before Maryland, Williams took Texas A&M to three consecutive NCAA Tournaments. Currently, he has an all-time record of 380-237 (.616).
