Chad Baker-Mazara Is Named To Mid-Season Top 10 List For The Julius Eriving Award

This is the second year in a row Baker-Mazara has landed on the Top 10 list.
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame has announced the Mid-Season Top 10 candidates for the 2026 Julius Erving Award, which is given to the best small forward in college basketball each year. USC Men's Basketball's Chad Baker-Mazara has remained on the 10-person list following his performance this season.
Baker-Mazara has led the Trojans in scoring, averaging 18.3 points per game. The graduate student finished in double figures in all but three games this season, while notching nine games with at least 20 points, two of which exceeded 30. He is also averaging 4.2 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.3 blocks per game through 23 games. The Maui Invitational MVP is also first in the Big Ten in free throw percentage and fourth in total points this season.
Before the finalists are announced, fans can vote for their favorite players starting on Feb. 6 on hoophallawards.com. The Fan Vote will count as one committee vote during the selection process. The Mid-Season Top 10 list will be narrowed down to five names.
