USC Lacrosse's Reese Robinson and Ellie Thomas Earn Big Ten Weekly Awards
March 03, 2026 | Women's Lacrosse
The two Women of Troy collected their first-career weekly conference awards following stellar performances on the road at Arizona State
ROSEMONT, Ill. – USC lacrosse junior attacker Reese Robinson (McKinney, Texas/McKinney North HS) was named the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week and sophomore goalie Ellie Thomas (Needham, Mass./Needham HS) was chosen as the Defensive Player of the Week for the week of Feb. 23-March 1, the league announced on Tuesday, March 3.
Â
The awards are the first-career weekly honors for each student-athlete and bring the Trojans' total Big Ten weekly awards to four. Last season, attacker Maddie Dora and goalie Annie Shields were chosen on the same week (Feb. 18) in USC's first season as members of the Big Ten.
Â
Robinson was instrumental in the Trojans' 16-14 win over Arizona State on the road. She totaled a career-high six points on a career-best four goals and two assists and also picked up a draw control. The four goals marked her second-career hat trick game.
Â
Thomas went wire-to-wire in the cage and produced a career-high 16 saves which included seven in the fourth quarter to cement the Trojans' win in the desert. She also picked up a pair of ground balls in the stalwart defensive effort.
Â
USC (4-2) will play four straight home games at Rawlinson Stadium to open the month of March and get started with San Diego State (1-3) on Wednesday night (March 4) at 6 p.m. PT. They will also host Niagara (1-4) in a first-time meeting on Sunday (March 8) at 1 p.m. Both games will be shown live on Big Ten Plus streams.
