May 12, 2026 | Women's Golf
The Trojans are one stroke behind leader Ohio State heading into the final round.
ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Battling cold winds on the tricky University of Michigan Golf Course, the No. 2 USC Trojans moved up into a tie for second place at the NCAA Ann Arbor Regional on Tuesday, May 11.
On a day when no team finished under par, the Trojans had the second-best round of the day with a 288 (+4) at the par-71, 6,260-yard course. USC's two-round total of 570 (+2) is one stroke behind Ohio State, which leads the way. The top four teams after tomorrow's final round will move on to the NCAA Championships.
Sophomore Elise Lee continued to lead the way for the Trojans and is currently in fifth place with a 140 (-2) total. Entering the day in a tie for first, Lee found trouble early with three bogeys on the front side and two bogeys on the back side. She had two birdies to finish the second round with a 74 (+3). Currently, she is five strokes back from leader Ashley Yun of Northwestern and just one stroke behind three players currently tied for second.
Senior Catherine Park was USC's biggest mover on the day, rising 17 spots into 10th place after firing the team's best round of the day with a 69 (-2). Park's lone bogey came on the par-5 No. 3, but the senior recovered with two birdies on the front side. She finished the round with a consistent back side and lowered her score with her third birdie of the day on No. 13. Her 142 (E) gives the Trojans two players at par or better.
Sophomore Kylie Chong also made a move in the second round, firing a 72 (+1) to move into a seven-way tie for 11th with a 143 (+1). Chong ran into trouble with three bogeys on the front side, but recovered with birdies on No. 6 and No. 12 to lower her score to par. A bogey on No. 14 pushed her score over par.
Rounding out the Trojans, Bailey Shoemaker is tied for 23rd with a 145 (+3) total, while freshman Sarah Hammett is tied for 43rd with a total of 151 (+9).
The Trojans tee off tomorrow at 8:00 a.m. ET/5:00 a.m. PT tomorrow. The final round will be livestreamed via Babygrande, which requires a subscription. All pertinent links can be found on the women's golf team's schedule page on usctrojans.com.
